UK brokers with EU resident clients
Brexit ended passporting and permissions into the EU for UK regulated intermediaries.
UK brokers now need either EU licensing and/or DFM solutions to maintain relationships with their overseas clients.
Our research suggests most UK brokers have only a handful of clients resident in the EU, representing a small percentage of the overall client portfolio. In this situation there is a need for a solution to the specific problem, rather than acquire full overseas licencing permissions and all that comes with this, when this does not fit with the overall business model. It was therefore only a matter of time before an innovative IFA network created a service that allowed firms to outsource this specific element of their business portfolio.
Through our experience and research we recognise that many UK brokers do not need to fully join an overseas network for the handful of clients that their license no longer covers. We therefore created a product to address the needs of brokers looking for a regulated solution for clients that are no longer UK resident.
Our wide range of licenses mean that we are in a position to provide assistance for many UK brokers that are not looking to expand their business model beyond UK shores. Furthermore having a wide licensing footprint means that we have advisors located across the globe and are therefore in a strong position to provide local support and a quality service to the clients that we take on through our new Entrust service.

“Nexus Entrust” is a client onboarding service that caters for firms that need post-Brexit regulatory solutions for a few clients, but are not looking to fully join an EU / global network.
The service includes trail revenues so the broker continues to earn retrocessions after having outsourced the problem.
Time is running out, agency permissions are being withdrawn.
